Emotional Energy — Day 3 of The Four Energies
Day 3 · The Water

Emotional Energy

"The ocean doesn't apologize for its waves. Neither should you."

— Heather Evans

Visualization · The Water

Close your eyes. Imagine walking along the shoreline as the tide comes in. The waves are rhythmic. They rise. They crest. They break. They retreat. Then they rise again. The ocean doesn't hold back. It doesn't try to be calm when it needs to be powerful. It doesn't apologize for its waves. Feel the water around your ankles. Cool. Moving. Alive. Your emotions are like the water. They are meant to move. They are meant to flow. When we block them, they don't disappear. They build up. They become heavy. Many women carry emotional weight quietly. We are the strong ones. The steady ones. But even the ocean needs the tide to go out before it can come back in. Ask yourself quietly... What emotion am I ready to let move?

Today's Lesson

Welcome to Day Three

Today we explore Emotional Energy — the space to feel, process, and be witnessed.

Emotional energy is about allowing yourself to feel without judgment. It's about creating space for honest expression. It's about recognizing that emotions are not problems to solve. They are signals to listen to.

Many women have learned to carry emotional weight silently. We hold it together. We don't want to be a burden. We keep our composure. But emotions are like water — they are meant to move. When they get stuck, everything downstream gets blocked.

Nature reminds us that water doesn't apologize for being water. The ocean doesn't feel guilty for its waves. The river doesn't try to be still when it needs to flow.

Nature's Invitation

The water teaches us that emotions are energy in motion. They are not good or bad. They are information.

When you feel anger, something matters to you. When you feel sadness, something is being released. When you feel joy, something is aligned. Every emotion is telling you something about what you value.

Emotional energy is replenished not by fixing your feelings, but by allowing them. By naming them. By letting them move through you instead of getting stuck inside you.

This doesn't mean pouring every emotion onto someone else. It means giving yourself permission to feel what you feel, without judgment, without shame.

Pause Here

Take a slow breath. Place your hand over your heart.

Ask yourself: What am I feeling right now?

Don't edit the answer. Don't judge it. Just name it.

Whatever comes, let it be okay. You don't have to fix it. You just have to feel it.

Your Five-Minute Practice

  1. 1

Sit quietly and place a hand over your heart.

  2. 2

Ask yourself: 'What am I feeling right now?'

  3. 3

Name the emotion without judging it — one word is enough.

  4. 4

Take three slow breaths and allow the feeling to be there.

  5. 5

Write down the emotion and one sentence about what it might be telling you.

Reflection

  • •

What emotion have I been carrying quietly?

  • •

What might this emotion be telling me about what I value?

  • •

Where in my life do I need permission to feel?

  • •

Who in my life can witness me without trying to fix me?

  • •

What would change if I stopped judging my emotions and started listening to them?

Your Journal

Name the emotion you've been carrying silently. Write about where you feel it in your body, what it might be telling you, and what would change if you allowed it to move. End with: 'I give myself permission to feel this.'

Today's Affirmation

I allow my emotions to move.

I feel without judgment and let what I carry flow like water.

〰Tomorrow: Tomorrow, we'll gather around the fire and explore spiritual energy — the part of us that seeks meaning, purpose, and connection to something larger than ourselves.
