Mental Energy — Day 2 of The Four Energies
Day 2 · The Sky

Mental Energy

"The sky doesn't try to be clear. It simply makes space for the clouds to pass."

— Heather Evans

Visualization · The Sky

Close your eyes. Imagine lying on your back on a quiet beach, looking up at an endless sky. The sky is vast. It stretches in every direction. There is no edge, no limit. Clouds drift slowly across the blue. Some are light and wispy. Some are dark and heavy. But they all pass. None of them stay forever. Your mind is like that sky. And your thoughts are the clouds. Some thoughts are light. Some are heavy. But they are not the sky. They are just passing through. Notice your thoughts right now. Don't try to stop them. Simply watch them drift. Ask yourself quietly... What thought am I ready to let pass?

Today's Lesson

Welcome to Day Two

Yesterday, you listened to your body. Today, we turn to your mind.

Mental energy is about clarity, focus, and the stories you tell yourself. It's about the quality of the thoughts that fill your inner sky.

Many women are not lacking capability. They're carrying limiting beliefs. They're replaying old conversations. They're measuring their lives against expectations they never chose. Their mental sky is crowded with clouds that have been there so long, they've forgotten the sky exists.

But the sky is always there. Beneath every cloud. Behind every storm. Clear, open, vast.

Nature's Invitation

The sky teaches us that clarity isn't about eliminating every cloud. It's about remembering you are the sky, not the clouds.

Your thoughts are real. But they are not you. They are weather. They pass through. Some are helpful. Some are not. But none of them define you.

Mental energy is depleted when we believe every thought we have. When we let old stories replay on a loop. When we fill our minds with noise — comparison, judgment, worry — and leave no space for insight.

Today, we practice making space.

Pause Here

Take a slow breath. Imagine your mind as a vast, open sky. See your thoughts as clouds drifting across it.

You don't need to chase them. You don't need to hold them. Simply let them pass.

Notice: beneath the clouds, the sky is still there. It has always been there.

Your Five-Minute Practice

  1. 1

Find a quiet place and sit comfortably.

  2. 2

Close your eyes and take five slow breaths.

  3. 3

Imagine your mind as a sky and your thoughts as passing clouds.

  4. 4

For two minutes, simply observe your thoughts without judging or following them.

  5. 5

When you're done, write down one recurring thought you'd like to let pass.

Reflection

  • •

What recurring thought or story has been occupying my mental space?

  • •

Is this thought serving me, or is it a cloud I'm holding onto?

  • •

What would I think about if I stopped replaying old stories?

  • •

Where in my life am I consuming mental noise that depletes me?

  • •

What would it feel like to make more space in my mind?

Your Journal

Write the recurring thought or story that has been clouding your mind. Then, beneath it, write: 'This is a cloud. I am the sky.' Describe what you would see, feel, or choose differently if this thought were no longer in your way.

Today's Affirmation

I am the sky, not the clouds.

I create mental space for clarity, and I let old stories pass.

〰Tomorrow: Tomorrow, we'll turn to the water and explore emotional energy — creating space to feel, process, and be witnessed in what we carry.
