There are moments when the world gets loud enough that women start looking for quiet.
Not the kind of quiet that means checking out, disappearing, or escaping responsibility.
The kind of quiet that helps us hear ourselves again. The kind of quiet that gives us room to breathe, reflect, tell the truth, laugh until our bodies soften, cry if we need to, walk under a wide-open sky, and remember that we are not meant to carry everything alone.
That is why we are building Soul Sister Retreat.
Soul Sister Retreat began in 2016 with a simple but powerful intention: to create meaningful spaces where women could gather, reconnect, restore, and remember what was possible for their lives.
During COVID, like so many communities, we moved into a virtual world. The form changed, but the heart of the work remained the same. Women still needed connection. They still needed encouragement. They still needed space to process what they were carrying. They still needed reminders that they were not alone.
And lately, women have been reaching out again and saying the same thing:
It's time. We need another retreat.
And they are right.
But this time, we know we are not just creating a retreat.
We are building a community around a deeper belief:
Retreat is not just a place you go. Retreat is a way of life.
Many women are living full lives, but not always fulfilled lives. They are leading teams, raising families, caring for others, building careers, navigating transitions, holding communities together, supporting partners, showing up for friends, managing households, grieving losses, chasing dreams, and quietly wondering when they will get to come up for air.
They are capable.
They are strong.
They are resilient.
And many of them are exhausted.
Not always visibly exhausted. Sometimes they are still smiling, still performing, still achieving, still saying yes, still making it work.
But underneath the surface, many women are carrying stories that shape how they live:
"I'm not ready yet."
"I need to work harder first."
"I should be grateful for what I have."
"I can't want more."
"I have to choose between success and joy."
"I don't have time to take care of myself."
"If I stop, everything will fall apart."
"I'll say yes to myself later."
These stories are powerful. They shape decisions, dreams, relationships, careers, health, confidence, and joy.
And too often, they keep women playing smaller than they were ever meant to play.
We believe women are not here to play small.
It does not serve families. It does not serve teams. It does not serve communities. It does not serve the world.
When women dim their light, everyone loses access to the fullness of who they are.
When women shine, they create space for other women to shine too.
One of the most powerful things that happens when women gather is that we realize how many of our private struggles are actually shared human experiences.
The pressure to be everything for everyone. The guilt that comes with resting. The inner critic that questions our readiness. The grief we have not had space to name. The dreams we have delayed because life got busy. The joy we forgot we were allowed to want. The exhaustion we normalized. The longing for deeper friendship, meaning, adventure, and connection.
Sometimes the most healing words are:
Me too.
Not because our stories are exactly the same, but because we recognize ourselves in one another. We remember that we are not broken. We are not behind. We are not alone.
Soul Sister Retreat is being built as a community where women can be seen, supported, celebrated, challenged, and reminded of their own strength.
Not in a performative way.
Not in a polished, pretend-everything-is-perfect way.
In a real way.
A human way.
A way that creates room for honesty, laughter, reflection, growth, courage, and joy.

At the heart of Soul Sister Retreat is the belief that women need to restore and strengthen four essential energies: mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual energy.
These are not separate parts of who we are. They are deeply connected. When one is depleted, the others feel it. When one is restored, the others begin to shift too.
Mental energy is about the stories we believe, the thoughts we repeat, the clarity we protect, and the narratives we allow to shape our lives.
So many women are not lacking capability. They are carrying limiting beliefs. They are waiting to be more qualified. They are letting someone else determine their readiness. They are working harder to prove what is already true. They are measuring their lives against expectations they never consciously chose.
Restoring mental energy means creating space to question the old stories and choose new ones.
What if I am ready enough to begin? What if joy is not selfish? What if success and peace can coexist? What if my life does not have to be built around sacrifice? What if I am allowed to want what I want?
Emotional energy is about having space to feel, process, celebrate, release, and be witnessed.
Many women carry emotional weight quietly. They are the strong ones. The steady ones. The capable ones. The ones others call when something needs to be handled.
But even strong women need somewhere to lay down what they have been carrying.
Soul Sister Retreat creates space for women to be honest about what is real — without judgment, fixing, or performance.
There is power in being witnessed.
There is freedom in being able to say, "This is where I am," and have other women meet you there with compassion and courage.
Physical energy is about the body as part of the conversation.
Women often try to think their way into clarity while their bodies are exhausted. We push through fatigue. We override signals. We normalize stress. We disconnect from the wisdom our bodies are constantly offering.
But the body knows.
The body knows when we need rest. The body knows when we need movement. The body knows when we need breath. The body knows when we need nourishment, nature, spaciousness, and care.
At Soul Sister Retreat, physical energy is not about performance. It is not about proving anything.
It is about coming back into relationship with your body through movement, hiking, rest, breath, beauty, and presence. Feeling nourished through foods. Alignment with sleep. And choosing powerful routines that sustain our energy.
It is about remembering that restoration is not weakness.
Restoration is power.
Spiritual energy is about meaning, purpose, inner knowing, values, joy, and connection to something larger than ourselves.
It is the part of us that asks:
What am I being called toward? What am I ready to release? Where have I abandoned myself? What does joy look like in this season? What would change if I trusted myself again?
Retreat gives women space to hear those questions.
Community gives women courage to answer them.
Nature gives women room to remember.
Spiritual energy is not about having all the answers. It is about creating enough space to listen.
This October, Soul Sister Retreat is heading to Zion National Park with 12 women.
Zion is not just a beautiful backdrop.
It is a place of awe, scale, stillness, movement, and wonder. It invites you to breathe differently. It reminds you that you are part of something bigger. It gives the nervous system something beautiful to hold. It creates space for adventure, reflection, courage, and presence.
We chose Zion because this next chapter needed a place that felt expansive.
A place that invites women to look up.
A place where the body can move, the mind can quiet, the heart can open, and the spirit can remember.
The retreat will include connection, renewal, adventure, reflection, and the kind of meaningful community that stays with you long after you return home.
But Zion is only one part of the story.

We are not stopping with one live event. We are building a community!
Soul Sister Retreat is expanding into a community for women who want to live differently — with more intention, connection, restoration, courage, joy, and support.
Because the real transformation is not only what happens when you step away.
It is what happens when you bring the practices home.
When you learn to pause before you are depleted. When you protect your energy instead of apologizing for needing care. When you stop waiting for permission to want more. When you build relationships that remind you who you are. When you choose movement, breath, reflection, and joy as part of your life. When you design a life you do not have to escape from.
That is what we mean when we say:
Retreat is a way of life.
It is not a luxury.
It is not a once-a-year rescue plan.
It is a rhythm.
A practice.
A commitment to living with more awareness, courage, connection, and wholeness.
We hope to build a community where women can:
We hope to build a place where women come as they are and leave more connected to who they are becoming.
This is an invitation to the woman who has been carrying a lot.
The woman who is capable, but tired. The woman who is successful, but craving more meaning. The woman who is ready for adventure, but also needs rest. The woman who wants deeper community. The woman who has been waiting for permission. The woman who knows there is something more for her, even if she cannot fully name it yet.
This is your reminder:
You do not have to do life alone.
You do not have to wait until everything is perfect.
You do not have to keep playing small.
You are allowed to pause. You are allowed to breathe. You are allowed to be supported. You are allowed to want more. You are allowed to design a life that restores you.
Soul Sister Retreat is beginning a new chapter, and we would love for you to be part of it.
This October, we are gathering 12 women in Zion National Park.
And beyond Zion, we are building a community rooted in the belief that women thrive when they are connected, restored, courageous, and fully alive.
