What doors can you open by owning your energy? 

We believe that you can have it all! If you are intentional about who you are and what you want, you can be as strategic with your energy as you are with your business.

Energy is the force behind who we are and what we can accomplish; it fuels our relationships and influences how others experience our presence. Our energy sustains us mentally, emotionally, and physically as we move with purpose in this world to tell our stories. Our energy impacts every facet of our lives, and we must own it!

What is the secret to owning your energy?

Energy is habitual: you are constantly forming habits that affect your energy, intentionally or unintentionally.

We create energy habits in four areas:

  1.   Spiritual—your purpose, values, and beliefs.
  2.   Mental—your sense of clarity and focus.
  3.   Emotional—your feelings of positivity and inner peace.
  4.   Physical—the health and wellbeing of your body.

Unintentional habits come from a space of reactivity. For example, excessive worry: in a moment of crisis, your body will respond with a cascade of hormones to prepare you for battle. This reaction is natural and necessary, but when you linger in this place of anxiety after the danger has passed, you create the habit of worrying. Your body remains in a heightened state of reactivity, creating discord where there is none. Have you ever met someone who is constantly on the lookout for something to worry about?

You can reclaim your energy by intentionally creating good energy habits and releasing yourself from unintentional habits that are not serving you.

As women, we want to be everything to everyone… and this pandemic has challenged our identities. Adjusting to a socially distant world has invited us to engage differently in our many roles as leaders, moms, wives, life partners, daughters, sisters, friends… and the demands made of us in our work and our relationships have our energy swirling.

Re-write your story by creating intentional habits

We can become intentional with our energy, deliberately choosing where it flows. We can take inventory within ourselves and learn to recognize when something is draining our reserves, and, most importantly, we can hold space for ourselves to replenish them.

We want to invite you to be intentional in taking time for yourself each day to recharge. Reading that great book that’s been collecting dust, starting that series that’s been on your watch list for months, filling a blank canvas with a new vision— anything that revitalizes your spirit is not selfish, it is a necessity. You must tend to your own needs first.
